Mozilla Webmaker: Featured teaching kit

Mozilla Webmaker is Mozilla’s educational initiative. Webmaker’s goal is to “help millions of people move from using the web to making the web.” As part of Mozilla’s non-profit mission, Webmaker aims “to help the world increase their understanding of the web, take greater control of their online lives, and create a more web literate planet.”

I think Webmaker is a really great tool for learning how to make websites and web apps and generally interact with the web. Their editor is very nice and easy to use and lets you create all kinds of cool things.

Webmaker as a community is full of very friendly people who are strong proponents of education and the freedom the web offers.

Mozilla set growing the adoption of Webmaker as one of their goals for 2014, so I’m both really happy to be involved with Webmaker and also very excited to see the direction it will take this year.
