One of the original goals of Botwiki was to keep the site free and open, which was pretty easy to achieve, because the site was really just a bunch of text files held together with PHP; easy for anyone to host, and no need to deal with database exports.
Unfortunately, using a simpler content management system introduced a few problems. The process of adding new bots became overly complex, and you couldn’t easily search for specific tutorials or libraries.
So, over the past few weeks I completely rewrote Botwiki using WordPress.
